What the probe collects

The probe reads device, SIM, network, graphics, sensor, camera, package, settings, usage, process environment, and system path characteristics. Process environment values can contain credentials. Usage history needs separately granted Usage Access. It requests nearby Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scans. With permission, it reads phone state and numbers, foreground location, account types, and accessible contact, call, and message content, plus calendar and media metadata. On Android 10, it may request background location. It briefly samples the microphone.

After the second tap, it samples motion for three seconds and prepares aggregate statistics for upload. It renders one fixed GPU scene and runs a fixed Vulkan calculation where available.

Two raw captures stay in the app's private storage. The app attempts to send transformed captures to api.chimeracloner.com. These can include Android, advertising, DRM, network, and location identifiers in full; accepted captures enter untrusted quarantine. Phone and SIM numbers, subscriber and card IDs, IMEI/MEID, hardware serials, Bluetooth and input-device names, account names and emails, and contact, call, and message content are replaced on the phone with keyed HMACs. The key stays on the phone; carrier and model prefixes can remain visible. Short numeric camera indices can also remain visible.

If you already captured once, the app may offer Resume. It keeps the two raw captures in its private storage until you remove the app or its data.
